Fifteen games lost on move four. The same trap every time.
Stop bleeding Elo to mistakes you didn't know you were making. Gambit runs Stockfish and custom pattern detectors over your chess.com and Lichess games overnight to find the leaks costing you Elo, then drills you on them until they stop.

How it works
-
Step 1
Get an invite
We send you a registration link; ask for one in the Gambit Discord. There is no public sign-up.
-
Step 2
Connect chess.com or Lichess
After registering, add your username. chess.com games import straight away; a Lichess account first proves it is yours with a short token in your Lichess bio. We only read each site's public API, so no password is ever needed.
-
Step 3
Wake up to drills
Each night we fetch your new games, run the engine over every move and build puzzles from your actual mistakes.
Key features
Everything runs on your own games, so the advice is about how you actually play.
-
Every game, engine-reviewed
Stockfish checks each of your moves overnight: blunders, mistakes, inaccuracies and the occasional brilliant move, with a replay board to step through the moments that mattered.
-
The leaks that cost you games
Named patterns counted across your whole archive and ranked by how many games they cost. Filter to the last week, and mark a false alarm so it stops shaping your practice.
-
Practice built from your mistakes
Short workouts cut from positions you actually got wrong, including themed queen-fork and rook-safety sessions, with accuracy and recurrence tracked over time.
-
Study the openings you play
Your openings by colour with real results, the costly decisions at their exact moves, and private studies you can annotate and drill from your chosen side.
-
Tactics and trap drills
Themed tactics with automatic replies and rating bands, plus classic opening traps to learn before they catch you over the board.
-
Position studio
Set up any position, or import a screenshot of a board and correct the pieces, then ask Stockfish for the best move.
-
A Discord feed for your group
Opt in to share results as they happen, with move counts and move quality once analysis lands, plus brilliant moves, weekly leaderboards, tournament updates and slash commands.
-
Your data, on your terms
Read-only, expiring API and MCP tokens let a client you trust read your own analysis. Revoke them, or delete your account and everything with it, at any time.
-
Players at your rating
Counts from 8.2 billion rated public Lichess games, by speed and rating band: how often players at your level walk into the opening traps you drill and how they score from there, how often they play your usual openings and how those score, and how common the …g6 trap against 2.Qh5 is in your band. Every figure shows its game count, and chess.com members are told plainly that Lichess ratings run higher.
What it looks for
Every move gets an engine verdict and a centipawn loss, the way any analysis board does. The detectors are the difference: named, repeatable patterns counted across your whole archive, so you can see whether last week's fix actually held.
Optional Discord layer: results as they happen and a weekly leaderboard for your server.
- Rook taken by the enemy queen
- The queen sortie that wins a rook on move four, and every later version of it.
- Faced 2.Qh5 without …Nc6
- You kicked the queen before defending e5. One move too early.
- No Nf3 by move 3 as White
- Leaves h4 open for the mirror-image trap.
- Uncastled at move 15
- Your king still in the centre in a game that went the distance.
- Below your minimum starting time
- A game faster than the time control you told Gambit you would stick to.
- Played on after three straight losses
- A fourth game inside the hour, the one you usually lose.

Your games, analysis and drills are visible to you alone; the only thing other members see is the leaderboard, if you opt into it. Nothing is sold or shared.
Delete your account from Settings at any time, and it takes every game and analysis with it.
